Healthy Oat Bars

Sometimes you just need a snack or to grab a quick breakfast on the go, and you want it to keep you satisfied until your next meal. We have just the thing for that; these healthy oat bars taste great and are incredibly easy to make. What makes them so special and delicious? They feature our Original salad topper, made from nutritious and natural ingredients, including dry roasted sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews, and dried cranberries.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup of salted butter
  • 1/3 cup of maple syrup
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of unbleached all purpose flour
  • 2 cups of oatmeal
  • 1/8 tsp of sea salt
  • 1 cup of original salad topper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F (190C)
  2. Lightly oil and line 8x8" square baking dish with parchment paper
  3. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients
  4. Melt butter and maple syrup in a saucepan, remove from heat, then add vanilla and let cool for 5 minutes
  5. Beat egg in a small bowl
  6. Add the melted butter mixture, the beaten egg, the Original Salad Topper to the dry ingredients and mix it well with a spatula
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the lined dish and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown
  8. Let cool completely
  9. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container

Substitution

The butter can be replaced with margarine in the recipe

Do not add the salt if the butter is salted
