Our “Healthy” Take on Nuts
One of the most common misconceptions about nuts is that they are unhealthy due to their high fat content. Certain fats are good for you! Nuts contain monounsaturated fat. This is the same type of health-promotive fat that is found in olive oil. Many studies have proven that nut consumption is linked to a lower risk for heart disease.
The Facts:
Many of our customers love our products because we use crunchy, healthy almonds. Did you know that the monsaturatured fat found in almonds can actually help lower your LDL cholesterol? Almonds are also considered an anti-inflammatory food, which means it’s great for your heart!
Did you know? One ounce of almonds gives you 12% of your daily intake of protein recommended by the Canada Food Guide and 35% of your daily recommended intake of Vitamin E? Now that’s healthy!
In fact, when eaten in moderation, most nuts have so many positive properties to them that the Canada Food Guide recommends eating a ¼ cup of nuts a day as part of a regular balanced diet.

What you should know about salt!
We use only a touch of sea salt to boost the flavours in our savoury nuts and nut mixes. Sea salt has 80 important minerals in it like iron, sulphur and magnesium! Worried about your sodium intake? Don’t worry! We also have delicious “no-salt-added” mixes, with only the simple and delicious pure goodness of dried fruits, nuts and seeds.
